MITO:

UNO MISMO ESCOGE SER HOMOSEXUAL O HETEROSEXUAL

HECHOS:

Cuando nos enamoramos de alguien, bien sea del mismo sexo o del opuesto, es por una combinación de muchos factores. Casi todo el mundo siente que su orientación sexual no es una decisión suya sino un impulso natural.

Si usted es heterosexual, ¿recuerda haberlo escogido? Tratar de cambiar este impulso natural de una orientación a otra es por lo general imposible. La alternativa que si tenemos es la de cómo vamos a tratarnos los unos a los otros.

El odio hacia los gays y las lesbianas es obra de humanos, no de Dios. Como casi cualquier otro grupo, la mayoría de las mujeres y hombres gay son gente buena, interesados en el futuro de su nación y del mundo.

No piden favores especiales; simplemente el respeto y los derechos que todos debemos disfrutar, sin miedo a los ataques verbales o físicos. Lo que cada persona si elige es cómo nos tratamos los unos a los otros.

FACTS:

When we fall in love with someone, either the same sex or the opposite, it is because of a combination of many factors. Almost everyone feels that their sexual orientation is not their decision but a natural impulse.

If you are straight, do you remember choosing it? Trying to change this natural impulse from one orientation to another is usually impossible. The alternative that we do have is how we are going to treat each other.

Hate towards gays and lesbians is the work of humans, not of God. Like almost any other group, most gay women and men are good people, interested in the future of their nation and the world.

They do not ask for special favors; simply respect and the rights that we all should enjoy, without fear of verbal or physical attacks. What each person chooses is how we treat each other.
